Duplex Housing Units

The Housing Authority currently owns 4 duplexes (8 rental units) that are centrally located in the community of Independence.  These units all consist of 3-bedrooms, 1 ½ bathrooms, carpeting, mini-blinds, fenced back yards and each unit has a single car garage, that includes washer and dryer connections.  These units are advertised as they become available.  Interested families must apply and be prepared to be processed through the Housing Authority’s reference and suitability screening process, just as they would be through any other private landlord.  The income limit for these units is set at 80% of median income, which can be found at our “Working with Us”, then Policies, and Section 8 or Public Housing Program Information tabs.
